License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Stretching insulation object

How does one "stretch" the insulation found in AC9 SE Library, Detailer Library? My attempts produce a heavy black diagonal line upon clicking on an editable selected hotspot (and the Pet Palette properly set), and I can't get any "stretch" action. I can't find any instructions anywhere. What am I missing?

I'm aware of the "other" insulation object found in the Insulation Symbols SE9 folder, which works. What's the problem with the Detailer Library version (or what's MY problem)?

Craig:

The short answer is you can't stretch this object (DET_Batt_Insulation SE9) because it was not written to be stretchable.

The longer answer is that the width & length dimensions are not set via the A & B variables, but from the R-Value and Length parameters, which are not stretchy. Then this library part is actually calling one of nine other library parts (which just have 2D symbols, no 2D script) of the specific size specified by these parameters rather than drawing the insulation using the 2D Script of the part.

So it is not a problem on your end, this is how this object works.
