I am currently in the middle of a project for uni and the library parts available to me in the educational version (archicad 13) is not that great. I was looking for things like lamp posts, cars etc to add a better level of detail to my 3D images.
Where would the best place be to look for free objects that I can download and inset into my design?
Many Thanks

Have you tried the depository? The "Street and Traffic Library" is a little dated but it might have what you want.
There's also a huge collection of links here. Note that the object libraries are in various languages.

Jus another option for the future.
google warehouse. open in sketch up pro. If you do not own download trial version you get something like 10 hours to evaluate free. export the object 3d dwg or 3d studio, bring into AC as an object. save object and place. This is a little dirty and does not give you control over materials. but good for entourage items. Just make sure you have surfaces checked in the export feature of sketch up.
