First, the dialogue boxes in the directions appear to be a different version than AC 16 so am not sure if the directions are valid.
Second, followed the directions (most of them) and inserted the window. The wallhole worked but no window elements showed up either in plan or 3d. They did however show up in elevation view.
Third....there was no clue in the directions on the thickness of the slab that was saved as the wallhole. Does it have to be as thick as the wall? I made it as thick as the wall....
I made it the old way....created slabs, then selected and did a side view in the 3d window, then selected and save selection as a window.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks Tom

I have the same problem, Tom. I've attached an image of my problem. Is this what you are referring to? Have you received a reply to this yet?

the outside face of your window should be placed on the level zero plane and that the Wallhole slab should be flush with that plane.
Create a wallhole slab in the same shape as the window. Create a typical slab, put it at zero. Select the slab, go to Tags and Categories tab in the dialogue box. Under "ID" type "wallhole". I made mine .25 " thick, or maybe even 0 thickness. Make sure all components are stacked at zero level otherwise the window will be far away from the actual hole in the wall in the plan and other views.
Mine worked fine after I had a little help from GS support. The help menu is missing the wallhole slab step.
