Windows on inner wall face

Hi, I would like to know if there's some way to automatically adjust the windows to the inner wall face.

It seems archicad always positioned the window in the exterior face of the wall and I must "manually" move it to the inner one, so every time I change the wall type to one with different width, I must adjust the reveal depth to move the window to the correct position in the plane of the inner wall face.

That's very annoying, some solution?

I see your proposition is to use complex profiles as walls. Maybe I could use that, but I think is too complicated and unproductive compared to using normal walls.

I don't know in the USA or India, but in my country, in the 99.99999% of cases, the window is positioned in the inner face of the wall, mainly because this odd thing know as "rain".

So, if we always put the window in the inner face of walls it seems really absurd that the default position was just in the outer face and that every time I change the width of wall I had to change the reveal distance of every window.

Really I can't believe that I'm not doing something wrong and this is the working way Graphisoft has designed for us.

But, thanks for your help

Looks like I misunderstood. When you said you had 60 different types of complex walls, I automatically assumed you meant complex profile.

Ah, the rain in Spain!

Although our Indian monsoon downpours are quite torrential, our windows are still (usually) on the outer side of the wall. Protection from rain and sun is given by awnings which project from the building line. I suppose reveal distance is your only option. Maybe you guys should push GS-Spain to change the default library parts in your version of AC?

Of course YES, and it's so evident that it was the main reason I though I was doing something wrong.

PD: Yes, "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain", but, although not so torrential as yours, sometimes falls in our buildings
