Is the wall they are being placed in a custom profile wall? They can be buggy with openings.

No its just a regular wall, i've tried creating other walls and putting circular windows in it within the same project and these too have square opes.

Is there a magic limit to the number of round windows you can have in a wall/project?
I wouldn't have thought so but you never know.
If you start a new project do you have the same problem?
Is your library loaded properly or has anything changed in your library recently?
I am thinking it might be a problem with a macro called from the round window that is maybe missing.
Barry.
