custom windows and partial structure display - help needed.

i've created a customised wall opening as a window to suit some non-standard trapezoidal windows created with the curtain wall tool.

aside from being suprised that there doesn't seem to be an out-of-the-box way to create a relatively simple variation on a standard window, i'm having issues with the plan view when not set to 'entire model' view.

attached image shows when view set to 'without finishes' or 'core only', the window object still shows internal lining to total width of window (wall is set to show projected with overhead to show extent of window at cut plane height - green areas indicate maximum window width at base).

can anyone explain how to resolve this? 3d view appears to be fine.

Hi,

Is this floor plan view symbolic or projected? In case it's your own 2D symbol for the window we see, omit the wall parts from the 2D representation. I guess you'd like to represent that at the floor plan cut the window is narrower than it's full width. To represent this you'll need a little scripting using the WALLHOLE2 GDL command. This way you can tell ArchiCAD about the exact opening size you want to get.
