gdl custom object snaps back to older version upon opening the file

Hi,
I`ve started making custom objects for a complex project with gdl scripts.
I made a separate pln file for these objects. One of these objects were not saved as a .gsm, it existed only in this pln file.
I see the file was saved. The gdl object was also saved. (custom 3d cabinet)
But when I reopen the file it goes back to an older version of that gdl object.
In 3D window the new version is visible for a second, and then it snaps back to an older version. (In the Library it also shows the older version - date)
If a collage opens it on another pc from our server, only the old version is visible.
Is there anything I can do about it?
Do I always have to save everything as gsm files to avoid this?

Operating system used: Windows 11

Do you mean it is only saved in the file Embedded Library? Should try to avoid this.

Might there be another version of the object saved in a different library that is also loaded?

No, there is no other version. (or it is hidden somehow)
I`ve been working on this object for a week and every time I open the file, only this object reverts back to a version from two days earlier.
Like this:
last saved on tuesday afternoon,
opened on wednesday morning -> shows the monday midday version - datum-hour.

But now I save a gsm if I change something, and reload it into the embeded library every morning.
