wildernessbob:
One thing to check is your Model View Options > Options for Construction Elements, which controls Window and Door display. These options are saved as part of the plan settings in the View Map (as is the Floor Plan Cut Plane). And to clarify: they show when the Wall or the Door is set to "they show up in plan when i change the plan view to projected or projected with overhead."
HTH,
David

Some other things that it might be is the wall and the attached door is under other objects in the visible stack. Select the wall and bring it forward by right-clicking and adjusting the display order. Another thing to check is if you had made the wall in 3D that your wall might be associated to a different story. Select the wall and check the info box or the parameters dialog for home story settings and adjust if needed (there are two settings involved, which story is home story to the object and then what stories the object is visible on).

Another possibility.
Don't know if this would affect your doors, but had this problem with windows once.
The story heights were set somehow to 0 or some really small number.

thanks for the help, it was the story height. set to 0" takes a bit to wrap ones head around this stuff.
