Is there anyone how knows where I can find a motorbike gdl.

And if combined with Artlantis Studio, I don't think they're _that_ bad (rendering-time-wise, I mean).
OK. They're at least speedy IRL
Did you manage to open it?

I'm sorry, IRL?
If you mean, did I install the toolbar, the answer is No.
I did d/l the Archibar.exe file, which like you suggested, is an archive. Unarchived it, but the contents are just the Win install files. I really don't get it. How do they expect Mac users to d/l their objects now?

IRL = In Real Life.
I'm sorry, I realise I misinterpreted you. I thought it was the download of the object that failed, now I understand it's the Archibar. Seems like they're forcing you to infect your desktop with more clutter to add to their revenue, if you want their objects. I would never install it, even if it worked, but that's my 2¢. So I won't bother them about Mac support.

If you really, really need it, I guess you'll have to borrow a Win machine or install W in Bootcamp or whatever on your Mac. The good news is that your Archicad dongle will work for the Win version too. But I guess Abvent isn't quite as generous, are they?

I'm afraid I've really taken this thread a looong way into OT territory.

FWIW: I would never consider working on a Win machine, although I'm equally fluent in windoze as in Mac OS X. But I wouldn't be seen dead working on one. I'm allergic to it. I only can manage to solve my colleagues problems and then run back to my Mac.

As regards Abvent, thank goodness for those hackers who allow us to use our legally purchased sw on that other platform 😉

Shame to Archibase, who have really botched things up. I really hope they get their act together, because I like some of their stuff (correction: some of the stuff that individual users have deposited with them), and now it's going to be double a pain to get it.

Thanks for the posts, Thomas.

Hi all (Thomas, are you reading?)

Just switch from www.archibase.net to www.archibaseplanet.com and all is there, no toolbar install necessary. AFAIK they've just tweaked with the UI a little, that's all.

And, if you get through a proxy, you can bypass the daily quota imposed (but I never told you that 😉 )
