I used to make a decorative elliptic arc opening in AC 9 as per attach picture. This object was not part of the AC INT version.
Unfortynately this window object is not working with AC10. I have try copying the 2D and 3D script but in vain ( I am not at all good at GDL).
Can someone please help me to either:
1/. rewrite this GDL object for AC 10
2/. or help me to find another Elliptic Arc Window Opening
Thanks.

I am in the process of making an elliptical head opening object
that just cuts a hole with correct shape in a wall.
Please refer to the window library I posted. In AC9 it is possible to show the Ellipse in 2D.
If you would consider this, it will be great.

I am puzzled about why whoever wrote "W ellipse Arch Opening"
did not make an object that was a true ellipse.

Maybe it is a wrong translation for a three centered arch, which is part of our German library.

Its a matter of long standing tradtion and practicality when it comes to design and construction...Ellipses are approximated for this reason. here's a good link to further describe what I'm saying
Several years ago I scripted an object to do this in plan when ArchiCAD wasn't able to draw ellipses. As far as i'm concerned ArchiCAD still does not offer the ability to draw a true "approximated" ellipse...If you need one, you still have to manually construct it.

oops2,
I have completed the object for what it is worth.
It does the same thing that the "old" object does but in a deferent way.
If you want the object tell me your e-mail address and I will send it to you.
