There were a couple of pages in the ArchiCAD 9 help files but nothing as far as I can see in 10. Do you have a copy of version 9?

I've never seen documentation for using them or creating them 😞

Here are some screen shots of the help files that are available. They only give a basic guide to using the roof accessory but its a straight forward process.

What I've always wanted is a way to customise the actual surface so that for example, concrete tiles could be modelled.

If you are searching for documentation about creating GDL-object that works with Accessories tools, then you need the "trial and error".
I have make some testobjects for Wall accessories and I guess it's nearly the same for roof, but too make objects for this tools, it's really i nightmare.

I figured it probably would be a very difficult thing to code. It's not something that I have the ability to tackle...maybe someone with very good GDL programming skills would like to go for it. I for one would be willing to pay for useful roof tile surface models if they were developed and I am sure others would.
