I have windows in a wall at different heights and so the cut plane can only "cut" one window or the other, but not both. how can i have them both showing in the same view? i read a post from 2006 that says the symbolic floor plan display shows the window as cut regardless of the cut plane setting, but that must have been changed since then.

I'm adding a vote to what ddonn says above, this seems overly convoluted, and doesn't seem to reflect the reality of balloon framing well. I'm specifically speaking of a split level house, where there are multiple "stories" that are best displayed in one view of a floor plan. They could be "stitched together", and yes I likely am not AC fluent enough yet to handle this easily, but it seems overly complicated to me... Maybe separating the window display from the walls would be better? There are too many potential display option combinations between the windows, walls, and floor plan cut plane to make this simple.
I'll add one more piece: what I really want is the ability to show a window above the cutting plane as overhead, with it's marker. For some reason I'm not understanding, this is very difficult to get right.
Thank you all for your contributions, it does add up to us all understanding better.
