windows and doors

Hi, I just upgraded from Archicad 23. I am now using Archicad 27. The windows and doors on the floor plan have a grey rectangle in front and in back of the door or window. I want to have a door without a grey box in front or behind like in Archicad 23. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
