Arch12 (educ) install wrecking havoc with Arch 9 (pro)

since I've installed the educational version of v12, I'm getting weird out of memory errors in plotmaker 9 and really slow 3-d shadow calcs in the wireframe mode in v9...

And now I'm getting plotter errors trying to plot the .pdf file that came out of plotmaker... I got this error before, but it was with half the last adobe update installed... it resolved after finishing those updates, so I wonder if the Archicad install overwrote some essoteric .dll file or something like that? Who would suspect you'd want both?

I am desperate to get this to work, so please help...

Oh, and I tried to install the polygon counter for 9-10, but it said the version was wrong...even though it was "right"...??
