• You have BIMcloud SaaS with cloud license.
• You are thinking of buying a new subscription now, and you have never had a BIMcloud SaaS subscription before.

How do I know if I have BIMcloud SaaS with cloud license?

You can check if your BIMcloud SaaS licenses are cloud licenses any of the following ways:

• Log in to the License Management Portal. Your BIMcloud SaaS cloud licenses will appear in the Cloud licenses section:

• BIMcloud SaaS with cloud license welcomes you with a screen with a Sign in button instead of fields for user credentials. It prompts you to sign in to your Graphisoft account.

• BIMcloud SaaS with cloud license informs users on the Users root page that user and license management is available in the Graphisoft company account.

What is a cloud license?

“Cloud license” refers to cloud-based software licensing - the method used by modern software businesses to license out and distribute their software product to customers using cloud technology. When you purchase a subscription, cloud licensing happens automatically and in the background - you don’t have to obtain or insert any keys. Just log in to the application using your Graphisoft ID, and you’re good to go.

What is a portable license?

Portable licenses provide a solution for customers who own a BIMcloud SaaS tenant and want to bring a subcontractor (who also owns a BIMcloud SaaS license) into a design project: The subcontractor can use their own BIMcloud SaaS license on the customer's BIMcloud SaaS tenant.

This feature was first introduced for key-based licenses and from now it is available for cloud licenses too.
