Problems with 3d view

Navigating and drawing in 3d view is extremely slow. For each operation there is a 5 second delay; for example i have to hold down the pan button for five seconds before i can move, the same is for 3d-explore (once activated though, exploration goes smoothly).

I had the same problem about six months ago, but it disappeared after two or three days, for no particular reason, and worked fine until now.

My computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad Z61p:

I suppose that your 3D window is in the OpenGL mode?

Do you have any elements that are very detailed, like trees with a lot of leaves?

Under View / 3D View Mode / 3D Window Settings
Next to the 3D engine: OpenGL is an Options... Button (Click It)
Finally Check Ignore Hardware Acceleration in 3D

That Should do it.

I don't know why Fire GL card's are problematic. We have less problems with NVidia for the WIN.

If you have a chance to reccommend... get a MACIntel their hardware just works on the WIN side or MAC side

Graphisoft Technical Support Group: Please respond to students.... they are our future!

Otherwise when they get hired by a big firm looking at ArchiCAD they will not recommend us.
