The halftone patterns don't work with the PLOT command. Use the PRINT command and select your plotter as the destination.
I hear the this is the preferred output method, but I find it to be much slower.

First make sure you are using an updated version of AC10. The initial version had a bug.
Second make sure your background fill is transparent or white.
Third go to Model View Option Combinations/Options for Fills & Zones/Fill Background-Change to By Element Settings
Be sure to save this setting in your model view combinations or it will revert.
The percentage fills should now work properly.

Brad,
When I make changes to these setings it reverts to the top selection which is Custom. Can I edit ans save the one I want to use? Also, am still getting a solid black hatch when I plot.
Thanks for your help

Just select the Store as button and then pick the pen set or create a new one.
Make sure you are plotting with the same pen set you are drawing with.
What color and weight are you using as your foreground and background pens?
If this doesn't work I need more information. What computer platform, what version of AC 10, what kind of plotter?
