2D symbolic and 3D Object not same location

Inglewood78

I have problem with my custom object furniture.

I use morph to create this object. When i selected 2D Symbolic i draft 2D line same location that show me from 3D and remove the old 2D line. After that i place the hotspot at top middle location

When i load to project in layout plan 2D object is corrected location. But when i check in 3D view or elevation the 3D object is not correct location as layout.

Please suggest me to fix this please.

Thank you very much.

Operating system used: Windows 11

There should be a 2D script.

Except if you save from 3D though, which appears to be what you have done.

Also I forgot to say that you need to edit the 3D script as well.

Comment out any lines at the beginning that start with "ADD".

Or you can delete them.

Now the 2D and 3D views will match.

I assume you are modelling the object and then doing a "Save Selection as Object" to create the object?

Then opening the object, deleting ant 2D script, and then drawing what you want in the 2D symbol window?

If that is correct then model your object at the Project Origin.

So that the back centre or front left or front centre is on the origin.

It doesn't really matter what point you use, but I use the point that I would want as my default placement point.

Now you save the object and delete the 2D script.

In the 2D symbol window, you now draw the 2D image that you want, setting it out the same from the origin point.

This will ensure the 2D & 3D positions match.

If you are not using "Save Selection as Object", how are you creating the object.?

Berry you are my champion.

I look back from your assume in this. (There should be a 2D script.

Except if you save from 3D though, which appears to be what you have done.)
So i select by plan view. And paste my 2D symbolic. And delete 2D script as you suggest.

Billion thanks
