License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

3 DOUBTS ABOUT AC 11

I JUST STARTED TO WORK WITH AC 11. COULD SOMEONE HELP ABOUT THE FOLLOWING DOUBTS ??

1 - WHERE CAN I FIND GDL TOOLBOX FOR AC11 ? IT IS A VERY HELPFULL GDL EDITOR. I TRIED WWW.ARCHIDATA.HU WITHOUT SUCCESS. DISCOUNTINUED ????

2- THE 3D NAVIGATION PALLETE IN AC 11 DOESN´T HAVE AN OPTION TO SAVE THE CAMERA POSITION CHANGES LIKE IN AC 9. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO SAVE IT ?

3 - WHERE IS THE GHOST STORY CONFIGURATION IN AC11 ? IT´S NOT IN THE STORY SETTING WINDOW. DISCOUNTINUED ?

Hi
As far as i can remember, the GDL toolbox was discontinued around ArchiCAD 8 or 9. I'm not sure what it used to do, but i haven't heard about it recently.
To save you current 3D view to a camera, go to the View menu, go down to 3D Navigation Extras, and 'Put a camera into the path'.
The ghost story was ditched in favour of the new Trace & Reference feature. it's much more versatile, but can just do the same thing as the ghost used to if that's all you want it for. Have a look in the Help file for more details, or just jump right in using the button in your toolbar(it's the one between grid snaps and gravity).

P.S. turn off Caps lock before replying.

Also, in the navigator, right clicking a camera brings up a "Modify this camera to current view" option

Also right click on the storey you wish to have as ghost storey within the Navigator pane, and you will see "Show this storey as ghost"

"Show as Trace Reference" in 11
need to print something with a ghost story?

You need to add the drawing you want to use as a ghost in the layout and assign it a pens set for the light color you want. Then add the drawing you want to see on top of it.

It seems like since you can adjust the lightness of the reference drawing that it would print like you see it. Unfortunately it will print the reference the same as it does the other drawing. We lost the ability to print ghost stories with out a workaround. It's not much work if you make a special pen set for ghost stories.

Gary, Trace & Reference palette is what you need.
