Here is an example of columns (concrete) with a wall (stucco) fixed to the side. You can see the stucco disappears on part of the column. This happens regardless of whether either side of the wall is touching, or separated by even a 2" space. The column with no distortion has been modified so the stucco wall is not parallel to the column underneath. There seems to be something to the issue of being parallel, and in this instance with two separate tools; a wall and a column.
