Apple AC10 user vs Navigator use

Does anybody have a way of keeping the Navigator open on my Apple desktop ?
Yes I can get it each time but that involves several extra clicks.
(I am running Apple's OS 10.4.7 and AC10)

Right click on the peculiar looking icon in the upper left hand corner of the Navigator palette and there you will find the magic stick pin. HTH
