Dear ArchiCAD-Talkers,

We have released Hotfix 1114 for ArchiCAD 11 INT and USA version. It applies to Commercial, Trial and Educational licenses. Before installing the Hotfix, please take a moment to read the Release Notes! To download the Hotfix, please use "Check for updates..." command in Help menu.

Important note for MAC users: We don't recommend upgrading your system to MAC OS 10.5 due to a problem of the WIBU Server Software version 5.20 on MAC OS 10.5. We will make the new WIBU Server Software available as soon as it passes the QC test.

Does this mean don't upgrade the system that's running the Network server software, or the client machines that need to log on to it? (or both)?
Dear Kenny,

Technically this means that ArchiCAD 11 on client machines cannot access the WIBU Server installed on a Leopard. So we strongly recommend not upgrading that machine to Leopard which runs the WIBU Server.

We are testing ArchiCAD11 intensively to be able to state that ArchiCAD 11 is compatible with Leopard. We will issue a statement as soon as the test results allow us.

I have a problem with WIBU on individual workstation. When a workstation, running Leopard 10.5 is turned on from SHUTDOWN the mouse and keyboard freezes but all works from RESTURT. I thought there may be a conflict with the mouse software I am using called SteerMouse:

this software runs fine with out AC installed and is written for Leopard 10.5.
Thanks,
Joseph

p.s. May be I should post this on Hardware section of ArchiTalk

call me cautious... but after the fiasco of the previous patch.... i must admit i am a little hesitant to install

i assume from the general lack of comments that either:
- the patch is working OK
- others have not installed and are awaiting feedback

anyone with +ve or -ve feedback on this patch would be greatly appreciated

have 15 or so users hankering for a fix to all sorts of issues that seem to have reared their ugly heads since upgrading from v9 to v11 and recently with various v11 patches

thanks in advance

I'm in the hesitant camp.

But after having crashed again because I forgot(again!) NOT to past into an elevation window.... I'm about ready to dive into the abyss.

Should I install or not?

I've installed the 1114 build and have not found anything to complain about yet (but that doesn't mean there isn't some sort of timed release bug in this version that is waiting to come out and cripple my projects)...However, I would agree and be hesitant to release this hotfix to the rest of the 80+ AC users in my office. The last 1112 release was a complete disaster.

thats my two cents

I took the plunge after it crashed when i tried to publish some DWGs for a consultant, and just felt too hampered not being able to paste in sections.

Anyway 1114 STILL CRASHED trying to publish the DWGS, but i successfully pasted both a label, and detail marker from one elevation to another.

I'm in an office of new users (myself being one of them). We have three people using ArchiCAD 11 right now, and they are working on a teamworked file. I just realized, due to my own negligence, that 2 of the 3 people were working in the teamworked filed yesterday had the hotfix. While all were out of the file, I've updated the last computer; but I am curious to know what sort of problems this could cause. The release notes state that not updating all users of a team worked file could cause problems..what should I be looking out for, and is there anything I can do to "fix" it?

Thanks!!
