ArchiCAD 17 am I missing something?

In previous versions of Archicad if an element that spanned across a number of storeys was allocated the wrong storey and you wanted to correct which storey was it's home storey. You could select the preferred storey in it's settings and it would have no impact on how it was positioned in the model but now in AC17 it jumps a storey.

Is there some way of getting the old AC16 behaviour so you don't have to edit its base and top heights to keep it in the correct relationship?

To sum up, it is a feature, most users don't like it and they are fixing it in the next Hotfix.

The trick in the meantime is to use the "Relink to Home Story" to change the story of the object, right click after selecting object.
