Hi guys! Im working on dwg map on archicad and i cant stand how laggy it is. I got a lot of spike lags and cant really move my mouse. Map isnt that big. Any ideas what settings should i change to make it work faster? Tried looking for other topics but nothing helped with my problem. My pc specs - rtx 4090 24gb; 32gb ram; ryzen 7 7800x3d 8core

A lot of lines will make Archicad laggy.

Have you tried the line consolidation tool?

Maybe you can reduce the number of lines without changing the content, but it may not work.

Yes, the most important question is: how many lines are there in that DWG file? Can you select all and show the Edit Selection Set Dialog that shows how many elements there are?

there is around 20k lines. i thought archicad wont have any problems with handling maps like autocad but if thats the case i will just have to live with that

20k lines does not seem that much to me. In the past, I experienced slowdowns only when I had hundreds of thousands of line segments.

It could be something specific to that file. It is hard to say what it is without seeing the file. But trying to decrease the number of lines with the Line Consolidation command is something you should try to see if it improves the situation.

Do you actually need the map to be snappable vector linework/DWG?  Consider using Illustrator etc to import the DWG, edit, and convert it to a high resolution image (as large as you will ever print… at 300 dpi) and use the image instead of the linework within Archicad perhaps?
