Archicad/Illustrator/AutoCad

I have a jpg of some map data that I need to put into AutoCad in order for the 2D profile to be milled on the base board through the CNC process.

I'm wondering if like in Illustrator where a jpg can be instantly converted to vector based graphics, I can take the jpg into Archicad and then save it as an Autocad file. I could take the jpg into autocad and trace it manually but I thought I had heard mention that Archicad can function similarly to Illustrator in this manner.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks.

You cannot do this in AC. Why don't you use AI and export to Autocad?

I have done this before but completely forgotten how I got the Carto map data from coloured outlines to black and white lines. If anyone knows the process in Illustrator it'd be good to remind myself how I did (very very simple I'm sure!).
