Both owned by the same company are they compatible. ie able to import files between the two ? is there a way of doing this ?
yesterday
While yes, same parent company, still separate programs from very different origins. So much so, that there is no direct way between them (but neither is there any between any BIM authoring tools...).
My question would be: What's the set-up and the goal here? Is it a one time job, or do you want to collaborate with another office using VW? ...
Many things to consider before you can get a good answer on a possible workflow here.

IFC is a file format you can use to transfer models between the two applications.
However, most of an IFC file is not imported as native geometry in either (or any other) app, so an IFC is normally used only as reference geometry.

We believe in a reference model workflow between these solutions.
Example: Architecture in Archicad and Interior and/or landscape in Vectorworks.
IFC, DWG and PDF work today - but we are working on the https://www.graphisoft.com/en-us/company/design-intelligence-strategy/open-collaboration-platform/ to solve this.
