Archicad zone tool doesn't change layer

I've got an issue with zone tool - chosen layer is archicad layer, but when creating zone archicad gives a warning that the layer is an xref layer and i need to choose another layer.  

I tried different construction methods, different layers and even tried to delete the xref layer, but the warning still remain

Do you have automatic labels activated in the zone tool settings? If you do, and the label tool is set to a layer that is locked or hidden, you will receive that message.
