Background Grid Display Default (not grid tool)

The grid display (not the grid tool) being visible seems to be the default for any new drawing or detail drawing I create. I prefer not to use the grid display when drawing.

Is there a setting somewhere to change the default to off for the grid display?

Toggling under the view menu doesn't set the default for newly created windows.

I have the toggle set on a hot key so that I can quickly turn it off when I create the new detail, worksheet etc, but I would like to not have to do that.

In my old template, it is defaulted to off, but we have had that so long no one knows how it was set to be off!

This was discussed just recently

The short answer is NO. It has to be turned off manually for each new window.

Maddening. I will ask Graphisoft if there are any registry entires we can edit to change it.

Cheers,

Maddening is a great way to describe it!
