Beam Connection Details

I am understanding the basics a little more now and would like

How does one go about showing a beam connection detail on a section or detail view?

For instance, if one has a Simpson CAD file, can they Paste it right on to the end of the beam in Section view?

AFAIK yes - I have used the details in the MSA section of the regular and SE lib on many occasions to do exactly what you are asking. Just check to see if you need an end on or side view in the settings.
