Beam height tags?

Hello again, everyone.
I was working on a structural plan, when I suddenly realized there is a potential time & conflict saver of ArchiCAD that I am not taking advantage of. After a decade of flat drafting, I am used to putting top-of-beam height data on my beam callouts, in the form of a "dumb" text label. But the beams all have height data embedded in them! Is there a convenient way to attach some sort of beam label that displays the parameter for the beam height? Heck, for that matter, is there one that will also call the beam section? Screenshot enclosed (because everyone loves pictures)

theoratically a label can read or process certain information from any ArchiCAD element. It is definitely possible to read the top of a beam. Start out with the free Label Everything in the Object Depository

THanks for the response. I went and downloaded your object. I'm still pretty new, and can't get it to come up in my library. This is probably because I am doing something wrong; could you walk me through the process? I put the .lcf file in my library directory, and see it as a linked library in the library manager. How do I get the items within it to appear in the object browser?

Sorry if this a pretty basic knowledge thing.

James, open the Label Tool to load any new label you obtain, then select your
elements you wish to use this or any other label.

thanks Rod, that explained it pretty well. I would not have thought to go about it that way.

It's good to know that this basic methodology works; I was able to get the elevation of the beam to print out along its length. Some subtleties are still not worked out, though, like it printing 104.00" instead of 8'-8" (it would be better if we used metric, sigh) , and it would be nice if one could also add some editable inline text with it, as is possible with dimension strings. So I could call out the material~ 4x8 DF#2 @8'-8". Are there any ways in the normal user interface to do this, or is it a situation where I would need to do some coding? (which I am not yet up to).

I bought Label Everything commercial version, and Jeroen kindly added, by request, the inline text you are needing. Attached is a MEP plan where I used theses labels.
