CAUTION!! Works at roof

I was wondering how others cope with modeling geometrical-correct irregular roof. My way is to over-stretch all slopes untill they intersect with each other, then -> Internal engine -> top view -> save as .2dl -> copy/paste to plan -> adjust to conturs.
There has to be easier way to do it. Please advise.

...and yes, you can drag&drop *.2dl instead of copy/paste but still not what I'm seeking.

Usually the best way to get accurate roof intersections is to select one roof and ctrl/cmd click the edge of a roof that you wish to join to it.

Pawel,
I know of no easier way except I don't convert the 3D top view
into a .2d file but simply copy the 3D top view as a scaled drawing
using the "flat marque" and pasting the lines and fills into the plan.

Another obvious tip:

make you roof with a mesh (this is good for certain kind of roofs), then convert it automatically to roof with the add-on,

Ironies of life.. You got quite good with Lightworks which is very hard to others but yet you were doing roofs like that??

Well what can I say - it's the force of habit. I knew it wasn't the right way to do it but it never really bothers me untill some last project with really complicated and complex roof. Working with mesh is really good when you have unified shape of the roof but problems strats when you need to deal with bays (extensions) on different levels, each with different slope angle.

Like they say, every day we learn something new
