CP wall structural element hidding

If I'd have and end of CP wall showing I would usually just hide the end or ends of CP walls that show, with a 1/8" slice of "wall/slab" of the same material, however now as you can see, I have a LOT of them, (more than is even showing), and I want a new solution if possible.

Seems to me it's an old wish somewhere, but want to bring it up again, just to see if someone has thought of better solution to hide end of CP fill walls with structural fill innards, but don't want them to show at the end.
I'm I missing a function of CP?
Any ideas gladly considered.
Thanks
Bier

Bier,

There isn't a way to show CP skin materials at an end - it will be a single material. You can do tricks with turning the wall around a corner that is the thickness of the wall in some cases.

In you case, the problem seems to be your plates showing.

This is not a typical problem, but rather because your profile was not constructed optimally. You have gaps between the fills for your plates, creating true air space which show up not only in section cuts (where you want them) but also at the wall ends in all views.

I think you were part of a recent thread talking about how to construct CP's for plates such that a plate is four triangular fills, but the adjacent fills were always a different name, allowing for generation of linework in section? And, with no gap at all - to avoid the problem you are seeing here.

I'll search to find that thread if you can't find it..

Cheers,
Karl

Your right karl

You actually did explain how to do this differently with less polygons I believe, as a cut of some kind. I'll go search (google) for that.
Did not get around to it yet because the polygon issue did not seem immediate to me, and then, as now I did not realize this may help the ends not show.
I guess I better get on it!
No more lolly gag-en.
Thanks again.
