I am from the world of Autocad where everything is made easy.
I miss having the Grid system as an editable object, that I can adjust - and not having to calculate the number of axes, just to fail and have to delete and re-make another grid system. And if you have got two different grids on same plan for some matter, you have to re-input everything if you are to make a change to the grid.
I dunno what would be the best option for making a grid system, but the present function kind of sucks a little bit? It is very manual.
OR have two ways to make grids. Don't remove something that a lot of people have been used to.

On a sidenote: There is no need to delete the Grid System! Just select it, then run the command again from the menu.
You will see that the information of the existing Grid is incorporated and you can adjust it how you want. Hit OK and the entire Grid System will update in place.
I agree that this could be more discoverable, but it works.
(On another note: I wholehartedly agree that the 70s have called and want their Grids back. It needs to be elevated into a more integrated, first-class system with Boundary support and a much better UX overall. But hey, we got a new start screen.)

Hi @Calle,
I share your complaining regarding grids.
The grid system & grid tool are not functioning well especially in a large scale project or multi-grid floor plan.
It’s the start point when creating construction documents & sure affecting speed of the whole modeling process.
Moreover, the disability to create a custom grid marker is a big challenge also.

I'd like to see an object - built on the same logic as the curtain wall tool - that captures the grid as an editable scheme, manages the visuals of gridlines and bubbles and then finally houses them inside a properly formed 3D property line that is input in a sub-scheme that translates the bearings, etc. from a survey.

Thanks @runxel, for this life-saving trick.
If I can ask, how you know it?
Only by practice? Or mentioned somewhere?

This I wasn't aware of, and did just try. Amazing lifesaver at least this function to remake the existing grid system. Thank you!
