Can one see a generic camera in the plan view window?

I saved a view.... and can't find the camera.

You can't see it as it is not there.

Saving a view does not place a camera.

You have to go to the good old "view extras" (hah!) hiding in the View pull down menu and Place new camera when in the view that you have set.

Was easier with the old 3D pallette ...

That's because the generic perspective view will be the same as the last camera view you accessed, if any.

One way to ascertain if it is linked to a camera is by right clicking on the view and looking for the Camera Settings command.

It would be much easier if the icon for a camera view was blue, like it is for the viewpoint.

Cheers,
