Challenging terrain

I'm not sure what's wrong , but when trying to create terrain it doesn't create smooth surfaces ,but simple 3D blocks.Is it some setting I should double check?Please look at the attachment and let me know if you have any tips.

Norbert:

This looks like 2 meshes rather than one. When adding points to the interior of a mesh, the mesh must be selected, or ArchiCAD will create a new mesh, not add points to the original mesh.
