Can I or is there a way to change the color of the magic wand tool? For example I would like to make the tool itself blue.

Thanks, Jim

No (for all practical purposes... a developer could hack the code, but would violate the license in doing so).

Thanks Karl for the response,

The reason for wanting to change the MW tool color is that I have changed my background to black. Being so used to autocad and the ease of black screen on the eyes. Its tuff (for me) to look at a white screen all day. So I have changed all my pen colors etc to work with the black background. So far the only thing that isn't a contrasting color to the background or you can't change is the magic wand. Most tools automatically change to white once you set the background to black, and the MW tool does change in part but not in whole. But I can still use it just fine, so its not the end of the world.
Another opportunity to recommend...

Beige. ( R 237, G 236, B 202)

Easy on the eyes. Shows black, white, gray, and yellow. Reminds old-timers of borco.

or "Buff' like the old 'flimsy - sketch paper' -shows grey, dark layer, white etc...for those that still remember

I have tried just about all colors and I still like black the best. Part of my problem is that I'm color blind, its hard to distinguish between some colors and shades. In addition to black being the easiest on my eyes, its also a good background that lets most colors stand out very nicely for me to see.
