Circle snap "problem"

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello

I would like to now if there is a way to turn off circle snapping on the quadrants?
Because ins some situation it is very annoying like when you are designing rooms with triangle if the intersection of two circles is near in one of the quadrants, it somehow prioritize this snap and not the intersection so if you are not very careful and continually zooming in to have the snap visible you have a big chance of wrong snapping

thanks in advance

I think a snap system like autocad's that you can turn on/off individuals snap types would be rather nice and useful, even in 3d programs there is something similar

Full agree.

to my personal Archicad-18 wishlist:
Maybe it would be good, when a new Pet-Palet would pop out if snapable-points are too close together - to choose the right point.

Or if a screen magnifyer could pop out in the same case -where You can choose the right piont with the tab-Key or... or..

One option is to rotate the circle. There will still be snap points on the quadrants, but they will be rotated from the orthogonal directions.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Use Arcs instead of full circles. You can also ctrl-click on a unused section of the circle to break it only when needed, and so get rid of the quadrant dots.
