Circular wall / column intersection problem

Anonymous

Hi Friends,
I have a problem as shown in the picture.
There is a circular wall and i placed a column vertically on the exterior side. Then a part of wall exterior line disappears.
Is it a bug or my mistake? Is there a solution?

I can replicate this but can't qite work out exactly what the cause is.
Thought it was the column placed on the end node of the wall and tangental to the curve but that isn't always the case.

But everytime I split the wall at the side of the column and deleted the portion passing through the column the problem seemed to disappear.

Have you tried changing the intersection group number of the column layer?

It looks like the wall may be having trouble removing the column from it.

Cheers,

This does work if the wall and column are in different layers.

If they are in the same layer then tough luck.
Even the priority stengths doesn't have any impact.

Thank you Barry and Link,

Columns are in the different layer.
I haven't used the intersection group number before and this is the source of problem.

Thanks again Link
