Is it possible to make a custom arch with a complex profile cross section?

I'm not sure I understand either:
a) Can you have a CP wall with an arched opening cut into it? = yes.
b) Will the skins of the CP turn into the cut opening? = no Not all CP's have skins that span top to bottom. See attached.
Could you post an image for better comprehension?

PS If your focus is the shape of the custom arch, anything, anyshape can be the "arch" it can look like an elephant if it pleases you.

I need to make custom arch object and the cut section of this object will be a custom profile. No walls are necessary.

This is for a window model (stand alone - not in a wall) built to historic moudlings and profiles...

Ok got it. You should search on Profiler not Custom Profiles. There are many posts on things like stone windows, historic buildings with ogee profiles in the openings etc. Profiler allows you to create your shape then have it follow any contour and voila you will have a custom jamb or sill or head or all three on any door, window, soffit etc.

This Wiki article is way out of date. But it is an OK intro. Profiler is now more powerful and comes in the program under >design, >Design Extras, > Profiler. See the reference guides.

That worked great but now is it possible to rotate the object around the x or y axis?

Either try the 'rotator' object from the depository -

...Or open the object and edit the code. Add a ROTx -90 or ROTy -90 to the start of the 3d code.

Try using OBJECTiVE - it will provide a very easy solution. You can see examples of OBJECTiVE used for making profiled arches here and here. The first video on the product page also shows how stone arches were detailed over windows (see attached image).
