Copy objects between stories

Can you copy window and door objects between stories without copying the wall at the same time? I have two floors where the walls are similar, and would like to copy the windows/doors that are in the first floor to the blank walls in the second floor.

I've tried to drag a copy in the 3d and elevation views as well as use the stories settings and cut and paste, but I have not succeeded.

Thanks,

Jason

no. for the same reason you can't draw a door or window with out a wall. You can use the eyedropper/syringe thing. I think it's called the Transfer Elements' Settings Tool.
