Create outermost line outlining model in 2D drawings

Is there a setting to make the thickest line in a drawing outline the model? Right now it seems I have to trace the edge since it includes all the separate elements and objects.

No but there is a trick to trace it faster.
Just draw a rectangle around the drawing making sure that the ground line extends beyond it and then after selecting the Pline tool you click within the area with the magic wand. This will "auto" trace the contour and you can remove the extra lines.
