Creating Line types

Does any one out there know how ( or if ) a person can create an entirely new line type? Or is there a way to change an existing line like the cold water, prop. line, etc. to have a different letter? Thanks. jeff.
I use A/C 11.

Hi Dwight, are you able to post some screenshots please mate? I am on version 20. My paste process isn't happening so I just wanna make sure I understand your process. Cheers, Dennis.

Yes.

Menu Options>Element Attributes>Line Types

You'll want to create your new line on the floor plan, copy it and then open the dialog.

Create a new symbol type line and then paste the artwork in.

Adjust the spacing to suit.

There's a weird scaling thing going on that others can help with since the sizes change... you'll see what i mean.

You may have a long wait for a reply, as Dwight has been off the Board for a few years
(I miss his wit and intellect).

Are you using any splines or polylines for your custom linetype?
That may be why it's not pasting (you can only use arcs, lines & hotspots).
