License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Creating a mesh between two roads

I have a mesh shaping two roads, now I want to create a mesh for the terrain between them. If I use the magic ward I create a mesh but with Z=0, is it a way I can create the mesh taking the Z coordinates from the borders of the adjacent roads?

The closest thing I can think of is to initially create your mesh overlapping your roads, then draw a contour on your mesh along the edge of your road. This contour can then be elevated to the same height as the road. Once done, the overlap can be removed using the magic wand.

There is an easier way, just follow these steps. ( reference image attached )

1. draw 2 slab pieces as as "connector" for the magic wand tool. they don't have to be in correct height as long as you use the magic wand tool on the floor plan and not in 3D for your mesh.
2. then in 3D just move the polygons up / down to the road polygons. ARCHICAD will snap to them.
3. done !

I follow you until picture 3, but not after that...

He is basically saying to do as you were doing, then manually adjust the elevation of each node. Which is really the only way to do it without any contour lines for your road edge.
