Time to upgrade... with 9.0 just draw a round slab; give it an ID of wallhole; save as as GDL object/window; done.

Its not perfect but i've done it a few times by actually using a slab, cutting a circular hole in that and creating an object out of the slab to use as the wall.
I know it doesnt make for the most instantly editable wall etc etc but if like me you dont have the luxury of just upgrading to v9 then its a way to do it.

You could use solid element operations. It would not read as a window, but you would get the 3D views.

What you want to do is really quite simple (see picture below).

Ummm, maybe I misunderstood your question, because it seems to be a very simple solution.

Under the windows folder there's a folder called "openings", in that folder there's a circular window opening that is fully editable.

So just select your windows object and look for the folder mentioned above and place the circular opening as needed. No need to creat an object.
