Curtain wall scheme not changing

Sometimes when I have modeled a curtain wall and want to change the scheme, I can't get the changes to actually display. I go into the curtain wall properties and change the scheme, but after clicking "OK" nothing changes. Extremely frustrating. Any ideas why this is?

I also had a problem with this the other day. I don't usually use this tool and am not too familiar with it. I eventually deleted it and drew a new one with the scheme I wanted. A little frustrating and time wasting too.
