License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Curved curtain wall issue

For some reason no matter what I do, the horizontal frames WILL NOT render as their selected material like the rest of the frame. Is this just a glitch in the script or am I missing some setting somewhere? In the materials pane is has everything listed correctly: Glass material is glass, frame material is wood...

also, is there a better way to draw these curved curtain walls? For instance, I have a line drawn outlining the curve and distance of where I want the window, but i still seem to have to play with the angle and length to get it right

Funny that no one posted to this... I am having the same issue. Hopefully someone will now???
Anybody out there? Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

So far I've still never figured it out...what I ended up having to do was draw it myself with curved walls to create each individual element...fun stuff! Hopefully someone out there knows a better way...

For the time being, your way is probably the best since there seems to be an issue with the framing material script.

It's probably no help to you, but I can't reproduce the problem either in AC10 and 11 INT versions.

Does it still happen if you render it with default settings? What happens if change the glass material to an obviously different one?

Have you updated the library to the latest version, as I know the curtain wall library parts have always been a bit flakey. Maybe they fixed them in a update and I just didn't notice.

Thanks so much everyone! (I was so excited to see a reply - ) I'm not new to ArchiCAD but relatively new to the forum and have learned SO MUCH just from searching.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge..

BTW... though it's a little cumbersome for this multi-story project (even with modules!), that seems to work very well for modeling. Thanks again.

The best way for me is to model the glass and horizontal railing with a wall with Complex Profile and the vertical elements with columns. For funny columns use Complex profile too!
Never had the nerve to study the curtain wall objects!
