Curved on plan roof......HAYELP!!!

Hi,

Total newbie, trying to make the translation from AutoCad and having a bit of trouble which I'm sure you can help me with...

I've got a wall, curved on plan and I'm trying to figure out how to put a roof that follows the plan over it - ie semicircular roof up to a ridge that then continues into an adjoining sloped roof.

Hope I explained that well enough!

Thanks in advance for your replys.

PS I'm a cheap fecker, so don't really want to buy any additional software!

Thanks,

BK

Vaulted roof or sloped roof with a curved edge?

Sloped with a curved edge: place the roof, then curve the edge using the Polygon editing (see attached). Or make a bigger roof and take a portion out ... and so on.

If I understood wrong, post a sketch of what you need.

Hi,

Thanks for the replys, however I think I've managed to sort it....

It was quite straightforward - just had to create the roof seperately and then trim to the main roof... would have been nice if it was in the manual though

Just need to find out how do a decent bay window now!

Thanks.

Check ArchiGuide archives; quite a bit of it up there regrading roofs.

Did you go through the ones in the library and did you check what ALL the parameters do?
