Curved windows and their issues.

Hello,

For a couple o months I have a big problem with curved windows in ArchiCAD.
We have large office building with round walls and allot of structural curved glazing. The main issue is how to draw it in ArchiCAD with proper documentation. Curtain walls are out of consideration because they do not have curved glazing and I'm unable to make schedule from curtain walls in with 2d view. For now I' am using standard curved windows from AC library and they are pain in the ****. First of all they do not have horizontal multi sash glazing. As seen on my example I have 4-5 curved windows with different dimensions that have to be connected to one window. Of course I can make myself custom window in AC but I would have to make like 20-30 of them. Not to mention, once created I wouldn't be able to change their sash dimensions etc.
I have allot of them in my project so that is very important for me to have parametric multisash curved, structural glazing.
Do anyone have any idea how to efficiently deal with this problem?

P.S. I thought of programing my custom curved glazing in GDL but for now it is black magic for me and I do not have that much time because of project deadline.

My processing to this kind of problem:

1. Create layer to curtain wall with different intersection priority
2. Insert an empty window to define overall hole in the structural wall. Give the windows ID to the hole (eg. O-05 as see in your plan)
3. Create profile to curtain wall. This profile specify the glass and the horizontal mullions. Give the windows ID to the wall too if you want to schedule CWs (eg. O-05 as see in your plan)
4. Use profiled column to vertical mullions with stronger priority than glass and mullion of profiled wall
5. Insert individual curved windows to CW to define sash. Set height and width dimension to inserted windows. If you constrain the sill to the actual storey you will get a right sill height to individual sash (see attached picture)
6. Create section/elevation from the curtain wall to generate elevations to CW specification layout
7. Save new floor plan view to CW specification layout
8. Compose CW specification drawing on worksheet (by pmk) or layout

It seems somewhat complicated but you have a full control of CW geometry and inserted windows and it worked before CW tool arrived to ARCHICAD.
Personally i have never used the built-in CW tool.
