one only has to look at the behavior of Apple to see how these behemoths feel things should be done.

If some one was cynical they might think that this cloud thing revolves around absolute control by the software companies. I've yet to see one valid reason for the whole cloud concept for our industry.

I think the cloud is inevitable because it makes sense that local municipalities will want to eventually have their respective areas in a simulator and the work that we do will have to at least plug into their simulator. Though eventually I think it will get to the point when we do work on a particular building, we actually will be doing work on the model in the local municipalities simulation and will probably become the primary communication point for code review.

The important part is to make sure that this simulation is ran by the guvment instead of private interest so there is at least the potential of fair fees and equal access to the information.
