Hi,

For some reason we managed to open one instance of AC16 in demo mode and an other in normal mode on the same PC and the drawing was done in the demo.

Is there any way to turn a demo ArchiCAD to normal on the fly?

It isn't possible as far as I know. While the work in the Demo version is basically lost ... you might at least take some screenshots of each view (and any custom attribute / tool settings) to record things so that you can verify that you remodel all of the work accomplished.
